Once again Republican Commissioner Emerson Demonstrates Her bi-partisan Approach in Serving Island County Citizens

Author:Bill

Once again Republican Commissioner Emerson demonstrates her bi-partisan approach in serving the citizens of Island County with her nomination of Jim Hall, a liberal Democrat to the Planning Commission because of his realistic approach to planning and business expertise

Democrat (no growth) Commissioner Homola would have rather had Russ Holmes appointed because he is an active member of CARE, a no growth, special interest group similar to Whidbey Island based WEAN

Democrat Commissioner Price-Johnson  agreed  with  Emerson’s rational for nominating Mr. Hall

The portion of the commissioners meeting where this was discussed June 11, is at this YouTube link

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWc8gfbnjFM

Unlike Commissioner Angie Homola’s meaningless “first ever Book End” award at the recent Washington State Association of Counties for exemplary efforts in reaching across the “isle” to establish…”, Emerson’s performance demonstrates once again the true meaning of reaching across the AISLE

We need more of that thinking at all levels of Government

And yes, Mr. Strowbridge, I know you are the author of this piece. As the leading wordsmith for the site (and not much of a spammer), good on you.

    Your title should read:

FLASH! Commissioners Homola and Price-Johnson actually agreed with Commissioner Emerson.
